BPAFFC surveys BAST for reform practice

On April 1, Vice President of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) Liu Yuhong and her colleagues surveyed BAST for reform achievements, discussing in depth with BAST officials about deepened reforms of mass organizations and deeper business cooperation between the two sides. Member of Leading Party Member’s Group and Vice President of BAST Tian Wen attended the discussion meeting.

Liu Yuhong presented the details about current reforms at BPAFFC and some thoughts about how to better advance BPAFFC efforts under the new situation. Tian Wen presented the background, preparation and drafting ideas of BAST’s deep reform program and how BAST advances its reforms, saying that since May 2017 when the General Office of the municipal Party committee officially issued the deep reform program of BAST, BAST always firmly implements the spirit of the mass organization work conference of the Party, insists on “strengthening three characters and eliminating four propensities” by taking deep reforms as an important political task and huge opportunities of advancing BAST’s cause, always firmly grasps the political character of mass organizations, and always stick to requirements for reforms of mass organizations, distinctive orientation towards problems, creation of platforms and prioritization of pilot programs, thus substantially realizing the three-year expected reform objectives. Both sides also deeply shared with each other the experience and takeaways in mass organization reform process, next step of mass organization reform, this year’s priorities and strengthening business cooperation between the two sides.
